- Department: Cardiology
- Schedule: Days (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.) with a 30‑minute on call response time requirement.
- Facility: Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital
- Location: Evanston, IL 60201
- Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes throughout all cardiovascular procedures.
- Provide holistic support, addressing the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients in a surgical and procedural environment.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, offering continuous updates and timely communication regarding patient status before, during, and after procedures.
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, calibrated, and ready for use.
- Manage supplies and inventory, gathering case-specific materials and making sure the Cath Lab team has everything required for efficient workflow.
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and rapid response to changes.
- Continuously assess and document patient condition while they are in the Cardiovascular Lab, maintaining thorough and precise records.
- Support quality initiatives, participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient care and operational excellence.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
- Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
- Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
- One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
